“A young man left by himself is as harmful to society as an unrecycled can of paint is for the environment”, said Normand-Maurice, the founder of Centres de Formation en Entreprise et Récupération (CFER) in Quebec. It’s in Victoriaville, in 1990, that he started to recycle painting pots. Over time, concerns about the impact paint pots have on the environment grew and governments impose strict regulations, forcing businesses to dispose of their waste differently. Eco-Peinture was there to help, giving a second life to those half-empty cans of paint, demonstrating that social responsibility comes in all shapes for local businesses.
