Official launch of the Montreal Zero Waste Festival
Jun 6, 2017
It’s now official, the first Zero Waste Festival in Montreal will take place on October 14th and 15th at the Bonsecours Market. The team who organizes the event was present at Vices & Versa Bistro on June 5 to make the announcement. It also gave the opportunity to the Zero Waste community and other persons to meet the organization team members.
The detailed programme of the Festival will be published at the end of the summer and will be shared between conferences, workshops and exhibitors.
The objectives of the event are:
- inform people and raise awareness about a zero waste world
- teach and share best practices and solutions for a zero-waste way of life
- lead people to think about their consumption and start to change
The FZDM wants to touch both people already involved in a zero waste approach who may want to go into it in depth and persons curious about this way-of-life.
This launch evening marked also the beginning of the Zero Waste Cocktail operation. Along the summer, the Vices & Versa bistro will propose cocktails based on zero waste squash from Chic Frigo Sans Fric. With or without alcohol, these drinks finance the Festival.
